If the car genuinely never sees weather, we will tell you a quality sealant may be enough — that is a cheaper answer and sometimes the right one.
Sap sits on top of the coating rather than bonding to the paint, so it comes off far more easily and does not etch the clear coat underneath. The coating itself can be marked by sap left baking for weeks in summer sun. The coating buys you a much wider margin — it does not make the car maintenance-free.
