Protection Packages

Our Full Front package: the full hood, full fenders, front bumper and mirrors — the panels that take the most road damage.

Larger panels and more complex bumpers take more film and more install time, so full-size trucks are priced a step above coupes and sedans.

Entry pairs a 3-year coating, Elite a 5-year Crystal Serum Light, and Signature Elite our 9-year Crystal Serum Ultra plus wheel-face and glass coating.

These are multi-day installs. We'll give you a precise timeline for your vehicle when you book.

Paint Protection Film

Yes, absolutely. Paint protection film, also known as PPF or clear bra, offers the highest level of physical car paint protection available today against rock chips, scratches, and road debris. If you want to keep your vehicle's original paint looking new for years, PPF is one of the best ways to protect your investment.

PPF packages typically range from $1,000 to $6,000 or more, depending on the vehicle and how much coverage you choose. You can protect just the full front end — the highest-impact area of your vehicle — or choose full-body PPF for maximum paint protection. Pricing also depends on the vehicle's size and complexity.

A full-front PPF package is a great choice for protecting the areas that take the most damage, including the bumper, hood, fenders, and mirrors. If your goal is to preserve as much of the original factory paint as possible, full-body paint protection film provides the highest level of coverage. As car enthusiasts, we know that preserving original paint is usually better than trying to match a repaint later.

High-quality paint protection film can last around 10 years with proper care and maintenance. The lifespan depends on film quality, installation, mileage, storage conditions, and how the vehicle is maintained. At Yelo Autosports, we explain the product, warranty, and maintenance process so every client understands how to properly care for their PPF.

Professionally installed and properly removed, PPF generally should not damage original factory paint that is in good condition. The biggest risk is on panels that have been repainted or repaired, where paint may lift during removal. This is why it is important to tell your PPF installer about any previous paint or bodywork before installation.

Yes. Paint protection film is designed to protect against rock chips, scratches, road debris, and everyday driving damage, which is especially valuable with Minnesota winters and rough Twin Cities road conditions. While no product can make a vehicle completely damage-proof, PPF provides the highest level of physical protection available for automotive paint.

PPF is a physical film that protects your paint from rock chips, scratches, and road impacts, while ceramic coating is designed primarily for easier cleaning, chemical resistance, water repellency, and added gloss. Ceramic coating does not provide the same level of impact protection as paint protection film. For maximum car paint protection, many vehicle owners combine PPF with ceramic coating for both physical protection and easier maintenance.

Look at the shop's reviews, installer experience, quality of products, and whether they can clearly explain their installation process. At Yelo Autosports, we always make sure to explain what film we use, why we use it, how your vehicle will be prepared, what the warranty covers, and how to maintain the film. We believe transparency and education are essential when trusting a Twin Cities paint protection shop with your vehicle.

Ceramic Coating

A ceramic coating creates a protective, sacrificial barrier between your vehicle's paint and the chemicals and environmental elements it encounters every day. It also reduces surface tension, helping water and contaminants release from the surface more easily and making regular washes quicker and more effective. Once coated, there is no need to continually apply traditional waxes or sealants—the coating becomes the new protective skin over your paint.

Not all ceramic coatings are created equal, and differences in durability, chemical resistance, gloss, and overall performance can be significant. At Yelo Autosports, we have spent years testing leading coatings to find products that provide exceptional depth, gloss, and color enhancement while also delivering proven durability and chemical resistance. For these reasons, we selected the Crystal Serum series from Gtechniq as our primary ceramic coating system.

The durability of a ceramic coating depends not only on the product but also on how the vehicle is maintained throughout its life. We educate our clients on proper washing and maintenance, provide recommended product guides, and offer long-term warranty support to help ensure the coating continues performing as intended. Our goal is simple: if we promise a certain level of durability, we'll work with you to help the coating perform for that full period.

Vehicles driven year-round in Minnesota are exposed to harsh winter conditions, road salt, deicing chemicals, and other contaminants that constantly come into contact with the paint. A ceramic coating adds a sacrificial layer of protection between these elements and your vehicle's finish. For owners who plan to keep and enjoy their vehicles, that added protection is especially valuable in our climate.

Yes—even brand-new vehicles typically benefit from paint correction before a ceramic coating is applied. Through years of experience, we regularly find light scratches, swirl marks, and paint defects caused by transportation, dealership preparation, and washing before the vehicle ever reaches its owner. Before applying the coating, we carefully refine the paint through polishing and correction so the finish looks its best before it is protected.

Proper maintenance is important for getting the best performance and longevity from your ceramic coating. We provide our clients with product recommendations, maintenance guides, and video tutorials on our YouTube channel that demonstrate the proper way to care for a coated vehicle. Our goal is to make maintenance straightforward and give you the knowledge and resources to protect your investment.

Over the past ten years, the owner of Yelo Autosports has traveled across the United States and internationally to learn directly from some of the top detailers in the industry. Our education has been continuous, so our team understands and applies the highest standards in paint refinement, surface preparation, and ceramic coating installation. We bring that experience to every vehicle we work on, to deliver a finish and level of protection that matches the quality of the vehicle itself.

Window Tinting

Both block 99% of UV and carry a lifetime warranty. IRFX ceramic rejects about 62% of heat; FXTreme (FXT2) steps up to roughly 76% heat rejection.

Minnesota limits how dark front-side windows can be. We'll help you choose a shade that performs well and stays within the law.

No. We use non-metallic ceramic films specifically so they don't interfere with connectivity, GPS or driver-assist sensors.

We recommend waiting a few days while the film cures so it sets perfectly against the glass.

Auto Detailing

A regular car wash prioritizes speed, while professional auto detailing focuses on deeper cleaning, proper techniques, and attention to detail. At Yelo Autosports, we use professional techniques such as steam cleaning and extraction to safely remove dirt, body oils, and deeper stains. Our goal is to properly clean and care for your vehicle while educating you on how to keep it looking its best long-term. Because we take time to understand the surfaces we work on, we use methods that are both effective and safe for your vehicle.

High-end vehicles require knowledge, experience, and an understanding of how different materials should be safely treated. Yelo Autosports has built a reputation in the Minneapolis–St. Paul area through careful processes, honest recommendations, and attention to detail. We understand what can safely be improved, what cannot, and how to properly care for the materials and surfaces in your vehicle.

Our team is trained under owner Tou, who has traveled throughout the United States and internationally to Germany, Belgium, and France to learn detailing techniques and methods from experienced professionals. This knowledge, combined with years of hands-on experience, is used to train our team and continuously refine our professional detailing process. Our goal is to bring a broad level of automotive detailing knowledge and experience to clients throughout Minneapolis, St. Paul, and the Twin Cities.

Professional auto detailing goes beyond vacuuming carpets and wiping down surfaces. Our team safely cleans paint, leather, carpet, plastics, and other vehicle surfaces while using techniques such as steam cleaning and extraction to address dirt, body oils, and deeper stains. Every service is focused on safely cleaning the vehicle while paying attention to the areas that are often overlooked.

Professional detailing can remove many stains and embedded contaminants, but scratches and swirl marks require a separate paint correction service. Paint correction uses specialized machines and polishing techniques to refine the paint and improve clarity and gloss. For clients wanting additional long-term protection, we can also pair paint correction with a professional ceramic coating.

Yelo Autosports is a professional automotive detailing and vehicle protection shop serving Minneapolis, St. Paul, and the greater Twin Cities area. Our team combines years of hands-on experience with technical training and detailed knowledge learned from professionals throughout the United States and Europe. You are trusting your vehicle to a dedicated team focused on proper techniques, honest education, attention to detail, and high-quality results.

Rust Protection

Yes. Minnesota roads are heavily treated with salt and brine during winter, which can accelerate rust and corrosion on your vehicle's frame and underbody. Applying rust protection while a vehicle is still new can help prevent corrosion before it begins.

Lanolin rust protection creates a flexible, water-resistant barrier between your vehicle's metal surfaces and moisture, road salt, and winter chemicals. It helps protect the frame and underbody from the conditions that cause rust and corrosion.

Our lanolin rust protection service is guaranteed for two years, after which it should be reapplied. With regular treatments, underbody rust protection can help keep your vehicle's frame and metal components in better condition for much longer.

At Yelo Autosports, our rust prevention service is designed for newer, rust-free vehicles. We do not offer rust removal or restoration, so we recommend protecting the vehicle before significant underbody or frame corrosion begins.

Our underbody rust protection service covers the frame, subframe, suspension components, and other exposed metal areas underneath the vehicle. We also treat accessible holes and cavities inside the frame to provide more complete protection against Minnesota road salt and moisture.

Vinyl Wrap

No — vinyl overlays are removable, so you can return to the factory look later.

Final cost depends on the size and shape of the area covered. Listed prices are starting points; bring the vehicle in for an exact quote.

We offer gloss, satin and matte black vinyl, and can discuss the look you want.

Tail-light overlays are intended for show use; we'll advise on visibility and what's appropriate for your vehicle.
